I am a CS PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, advised by Prof. Vijay Nagarajan and Prof. Murray Cole (co-Advisor). Additionally, I am a part of CAPS research group as well as Center for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Pervasive Parallelism
My research focus is on computer architecture and systems with emphasis on consistency models, reliability and availability. This is highly motivated by new trends in building robust, reliable and scalable computing systems.
Previously, I collborated with Dr. Ajith Pasqual on projects involving processor(CPU) architectures and software-defined hardware/networks architectures at the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa. Subsequenlty, I held an engineering position at Paraqum technologies -- the first sri lankan semiconductor startup company that dr.Pasqual founded. In addiion, prior to my PhD, I also gained some industry experience by working with companies like Synopsys, WSO2 and Codegen.
My expertise lies in the areas of
-Consistency models and their enforcement in multi-core processors and databases
-Highly available transaction and replication protocols
-End-to-end hw/sw co-design (and testing) for emerging architectures</p>
I live in Edinburgh, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. ![Profile Image](https://maheshdananjaya.github.io/assets/images/edincover1.jpg)
